sounds like something one shouldn't be doing.
673fa451d5b9a
We already do something like that, so screw it.
As long as it works, it should be fine.
And this way it would even be FM compatible.

Ring buoy (-1214) ringbuoy.bin causes ugly transparency issues when thrown into water. I wonder whether this is something that could be fixed within the model. obj 1269 on rec1, for example.

Ring buoy renders fine with water if it's set to use alpha test (as it is in the SCP gamesys). But, it could be improved by making the ring torus less angular and 3D-modeling the rope border instead of it being just a flat transparent texture as it is now. But, that would be a model enhancement rather than a model fix.

I'm posting this here because of the camera's floating motion sensor LED issue. Rather than post the other 2 issues elsewhere, I thought it best to keep them all together.

In the dining room across from where the Kool-Aid security robot comes crashing through the wall, is a security camera that has some problems http://i.imgur.com/Wwdiz6T.jpg
a) The large green motion sensor LED doesn't contact the camera's body http://i.imgur.com/CmieUeu.jpg
b) As it rotates, parts of it clip into the support column - lens hood http://i.imgur.com/gaG2oE0.jpg and camera's rear http://i.imgur.com/S5Nkmcf.jpg
c) I don't know how much control you have over a camera's sweep arc, but this one goes 360°, so about half of the time it's looking at the support column??? If doable, change it to somewhere between 180° and 200°.

the lens is a (very tiny) obj issue, the sweep arc has already been fixed in SCP (I've spent an unreasonable amount of time fixing up the kool aid scene, I might add).

I've read that there's a new flavor in the offing, namely "tram-alicious". I hear it leaves a "hellish" nasty bitter taste in your mouth.

Almost every bright coloured lighted thing in a model will be floating. That's just how the devs made the models. Probably because the engine keeps bugging out when you make them too close.

As it turns out, NewDark doesn't handle Z-sorting in certain situations quite as well as Old Dark
Damn, and here was I thinking NewDark only made improvements =(
Since they broke transparency sorting anyway, isn't it about time the engine got some kind of order-independent transparency instead?

So, shouldn't it be included into SCP then?

673fa451d7b5avoodoo47

673fa451d7ba6
we are only including the orig models in SCP, enhanced/hires ones will stay in SHTUP. if you fix the orig lowres model, I'll throw it into the package of course, but as mentioned, this one is of low priority.
