I've been through a lot, recently, following the happenings of late august. I should be able to go back working on the mod, now. The latest audio recordings for the Captain are inbound, while instead I've lost contact with the actress that does Marie. 2.0 wasn't that much far from completion, it's mostly about making movies and a bunch of bugs the playtesters had found in september.

All right, back into action: now Marie Heal can cure friendly npcs too. I'm leaving Nikki's quest for last, gotta work on bugs and movie. And as soon as I have some bandwith credit, I'm uploading the cyberspace levels somewhere (I completely forgot about them, they've been ready since august).

Due to a clerical mistake, it appears Cortez actually became "Cmdr Pike" in the latest stage of development. I remembered so because he still had one line to be voiced.

These videos are played when you successfully hack into an old rig, right before being sent to Cyberspace. The first, the training one, is a longer sequence with speech. The rest are mass produced, and limited to 2 short scenes.

Here is an example of the voicework for Infinite Captain Diego. The character is an amalgamation of Diego and the Many, which he replaces in the spots where they would contact you telepathically. What happens in those spots now, is that a bunch of ghosts appear around you and start speaking with that booming echoed voice (the HUD portraits being Goggles and The Many). After a few words, the ghosts disappear and another one pops up in their place: the HUD now shows Goggles and Cpt. Diego, who continues talking.

Another "before and after" comparision, this time about the Rumbler Chase video. It was the first to be shot in third personI, last year, and lead the way to the rest. Now the chase sequence is longer, with multiple shots, and a twist.

Thanks. I haven't used that one yet, because the player models are different, but I'm tempted to as working with the old low res stuff has become a bit schizophrenic. Gotta think of something, but unfortunately I can't remake those advanced special fx myself.

The movie which would most benefit from it, is the one that connects the prologue to the main game... I think I haven't linked it yet. It's quite lengthy.

Named after his voice actor, "ShephardReborn" of the Pacifist Approach videos. Every npc calls you a different name:
- Marie -> Goggles
- Korenchkin -> Soldier
- Captain -> Shephard
- Cmdr. Pike -> Traitor
- Shodan -> Insect

Speaking of which, here is the ending dedicated to the Many. All about Captain Diego and his infected pals, actually, as Korenchkin already got killed in the Body of the Many. They're intended to have died right after him, in the other endings, but in this one they're still around.

I never played Mass Effect, but I've read up on its lore... not particularly enticed with that Shephard character. But I think the actor's nickname is actually from the Half Life character in Opposing Force.

Also, I updated that video with a slightly improved version.

Next I have to do...
- PSI and Hacker endings: mostly recycled assets (from the Good and Kolya endings) with new voiceovers.
- Cortez ending: it's supposed to contain "several" massacres, this one's going to prove a little problem.

I took it easy with the "Hacker Ending", and recycled most of the Good Ending for it. Its original content will just transfer to the Cortez ending.

By comparison the new "OSA Ending" is much more elaborate, with lots of scenes and inventions. I wrote it with Shephard as the zany one of the bunch: to enjoy how smug would Goggles become, if he could take on the whole game with just PSI. It kills me when he uses the ultimate PSI power, "Revolution". Two videos left!

xdiesp, can you add subtitles to cutscenes? It will help to understand content, localize this wonderful mod to another languages, etc.
