Bugfixing is taking longer than expected, as replaying the 3 paths in the campaign revealed several issues. As soon as I'm done, I'll post a call for volunteer playtesters in the other section.

Speaking of cyberpunk, I've noticed instances of post cyberspace depression. That's actually what happens: you get back from the lightning fast and musical Cyberspace, and you're back on the silent and dark Von Braun. Gibson's hackers were like that.

I like today's quote "The citadel stands yet.", where is it from? Last time with the "haiku", I kept cutting it up until it reminded me of a quote from Watchmen (below). Today I'm on bugfixing duty, then I'll embark on a playthrough dedicated to the Lt. Shephard path.

It's a quote from Star Guard. (Well it was "THE CITADEL YET STANDS...")

Just two bugs that made me laugh out loud. In the first video, I had changed a Korenchkin event and I was testing the timing with the codec... it turned out his explosion didn't match well with the old rig nearby.

In the second video, I had just reshot the third vision in the BOTM because it didn't look good when cropped to 16:9 (I'm not sure whether people will watch them in 4:3 or 16:9, so I keep an eye on both) and the temporary soundtrack I had used made for comedic effect.

Current goals are: implementing a new little feature, playtesting the third path, release the beta and make the last movie.

The new feature is to stack special endings in the final level. It used to be that if you completed different objectives, the ending for the most important one would override the rest: now the movies are shown one after the other. A maximum of 3 can be stacked: beating the game with just PSI, always choosing the same tear, completing all cyberspace.

Again. You have gone above and beyond. It used to be Christine was The mapmaker here. Now? I dunno. You got to recycle the original campaign, but you have a lot of little changes in each nap, then the branching paths, and the cut scenes built in engine.

Everyone involved deserves... I dunno. Y guys are awesome and I'm considering this the difinitive campaign. You not only fleshed things out, but added even more replay ability.

Hats of man. This is the mod I point to when people wonder what fan works can do even when the original engine is mod hostile.

xerxes: good luck with your new job, keep it no matter what! As long as it keeps you away from the streets, it's good.

hikari: my idea of modding is very '90s, it's about extending a game's lifetime. I consider this one an unofficial sequel, yet very aware it's built on top of something else. Actually, the plot about repeating storylines is a riff on that. I haven't played Catherine's missions yet, I plan to soon, but I'm not on the same level as one that builds an entire level from the ground up. The Cyberspace levels are indeed new stuff, and the selling point of 2.0, but still closer to bonus levels than another ship. If we're speaking about numbers, I would say that 2.0 contains (a full remake of 1.0 and) 4 times the amount of original content as 1.0. I've been completely careless (again) and kept adding new features without releasing anything for 6 months, and basically the new stuff is 3 expansions that were only released internally.

I'm still playtesting the third path!

Happy new year! Today I should be able to upload the beta! It's a pretty big file, so I'm not sure where to upload it yet.

I asked permission to make a new thread about it, to ask for help to General visitors too.

Trying out this mod but i must say that it confuses me. I have no idea what is going on :P Im on deck 3 and im missing a toxin a Vial.

Im not sure if this is a bug or not, but why is it that i have no crosshair ? Also, selecting things in the world ( enemies, and objects in general) is really hard, as i have no idea how i control what i want to select. Its like its totally random, and not like normal where you select it with the crosshair. Is it supposed to be like that ?

You are playing with a very old version, check the release thread for Infinite 2.0 (beta):  :thumb:

I noticed that even with the Rebirth Compatibility Patch (which does work fine for ghosts) is happening now to the Living Crew Members after going through the Rift in Med/Sci.

Thanks, I will include a fix for this in the next beta patch!

Your music plays inside the 8 tears, and at the beginning of the final level. Much more often than just a movie! :thumb:

edit So far I've filmed 60 scenes, of the 90 required for the new movie. For a total of 19 minutes. This one will take a long time in post production! By the way this is the script, written in June by Hikari and I.

Our italian tester found 70 cybermodules, left over by mistake in Hydroponics 1! That's what I call a convenient glitch. :thumb: I was asked for multiplayer support, and it appears we have 2 testers available for that.

Now, it turns out that 4 videos needed upgrades. Today I made 2, pretty heavy stuff. I had to remake montage and soundtrack for the first, which sucks greatly, while the second recycles several repertoire scenes and is almost completely different from before.

I like these videos guy.

Also while I know it was a large amount of work I'm glad you managed to flesh out the Many and give them something... Better as motive.
