I installed your SS2 movie subtitles mod (thanks, by the way) and noticed some discrepancies in the Subtitles.SUB file:

1. Line 49   -   "hero the of the Battle of..."   should be   "hero of the Battle of..."
2. Line 54   -   "Rickerbacker"   should be   "Rickenbacker"  (how could you?)
3. Line 58   -   I think   "cruise"   should be   "crews"
4. Lines 61/62   -   "This is dr. Marie Delacroix..."   should be  "This is Dr. Marie Delacroix..."
5. Lines 79/80   -   "on the Von Braun in the shuttlebay two."   should be   "on the Von Braun in shuttlebay 2."
6. Line 85   -   "This is doctor Janice Polito"   should be   "This is Dr. Janice Polito"
7. Line 117   -    "How dare you, insect?"   should be   "How dare you, insect."   -   I don't think it's a question.
8. Lines 118/119   -   Same with   "How dare you interrupt my ascendance?"   should be   "How dare you interrupt my ascendance."
9. Lines 138/139   -   "We've just received the hail from..."   should be   "We've just received a hail from..."

I think that about covers it.

System Shocked: nice save, those were definitely typos. But I'm not sure about this one:

what wonders await our cruise (crews) in the bosom of the cosmos

I can find both versions on Google, from previous translation projects.
Edit I updated the subtitles files in the previous post. As soon as we have the german ones, I'll post them in a new topic along the italian file.

I think the crew is meant to discover/experience the "wonders" that await, but it's your call.

Prolly was. Might be able to shove a geforce 750 into it. Won't get the card's actual performance due to CPU bottlenecking and box has PCI 1.0 spec going on, but will work without replacing PSU so I can limp along til I can build better.

Sounds like a discharged office machine?

Zikshadow has restarted his playthrough of Infinite, now with version 2.0.
It looks like he's having conflicts with SHMUP too, hopefully we can fix that!

I try to keep things simple, approaching the game like a vanilla player.

Anyone else having problems in the Rickenbacker where before you finish clearing out the black eggs replicators will take your money but won't spit out items? Lists 'cannot create item' when you try.

Cleared up after the last egg was done. Also persisted when I chose the Many's path.

Yes, that replicator is bugged at the moment. It will be fixed in an upcoming patch, the one with the german translation and OS Upgrades from Secmod.

Top men are finalizing the german translation as we speak, you will see it soon together with one final round of bugfixes. Progress on the italian translation has slowed down, but will be released too eventually (there's no vanilla italian SS2).

Check back in a couple of days, when I'll start adding the developer notes to the let's play (uploading right now). There will be room to talk about this crazy thing!

I have completed my let's play of the mod, which amounts to 9 videos and 8.5 hours of gameplay. Since I'm going to add developer notes to each, I've also included an intro video to welcome viewers and generally present the project.

Been pondering the changes to the subtitles for a bit, and I think the correct choice is   "... who knows what awaits our cruise in the bosom of the cosmos"   and not   "... who knows what awaits our crews in the bosom of the cosmos".

The German translation is 99% done: in the mean time, I've been fixing an old mod for HL2 that was broken by the Orange Box update.

Oh, but the patch is nothing life changing: the highlights are the German translation and some OS upgrades, but other than that it's just fixes for typos and misplacements.

We just released the beta for HL2 Substance, which comes with a map pack that's worth 24 hours of playtime, so in the very least you know I'm keeping myself busy!

By the way, there are currently 2 let's plays of Infinite being made on Youtube. One which has no commentary, is slow paced and handles the mod like a new player would. The other is from this italian dude, who's in our same level of nerdiness aka "replayed the game enough times he started speaking with the npcs" (the final level being, the npcs answer back to you).

Man, I have to shoot a trailer for that other mod and I've been out of machinimas ever since the true ending remake in late february. That hundred scenes long movie left a mark.

If you've never played the mod, we could use your impressions to improve the patch. Ideally, the mod is best played after beating the game enough times that you know what to expect.

Our top men report that work on the German translation is complete, so it's up to me now to finish the job. The other mod I've been working on is basically finished, too, so let's get a move on! And in a startling revelation, it turned out that Marie was the Gman all along.

Mod looks amazing. I just finished HL1, so I should be able to quickly move on to HL2 if nothing comes up.
