Speaking of damage (in another thread), it says in the Prima Strategy Guide that shotgun slugs do 8 damage, while the pellets do 1x6. This can't be right. I find that if I hit a shotgun hybrid point blank with a slug, it will take 2 shots to kill him but if I use a pellet shell, I can 1 shot him. The pellets must be doing more damage if you are hitting him with all 6. Like maybe the number is really 2x6, but since the spread is so great, you have to be right up on him to get the full damage.

I tried to use ShockEd to figure it out, but I can't seem to find what I am looking for. I looked at both the shotgun class as well as the 2 shell classes, but I don't see anything labeled as damage. What aspect of the shell should I be looking at?

rifled slugs (-516) and and pellet (-524), check act/react.

And the vulnerabilities under MetaProperties.

Ok, if I did this right, I am coming up with the same damage as Prima: slug = 8, pellets = 1x6. But, the part I didn't pay attention to is the type of damage is different: standard vs high explosive. If I am reading the vulnerabilities correctly, hybrids have a 1.0 vulnerability to standard damage, but a 4.0 vulnerability to high explosive. So the numbers adjusted for a hybrid target would be 8 vs 1x6x4.
