A lot of today's tech appears to the majority of people as magic. That's hardly their fault. Companies like Apple spend a lot of time and money to achieve exactly this effect. And we all can't be rocket scientists anyway. So we all live in a world that's beyond our grasp to some degree. And don't kid yourself, even for tech heads like us that margin is a thousandfold of what it was a hundred years ago.

Well they are taken for granted because they are "magic". Along with the way it works, its limits are also hidden from view. Magic is only limited by imagination.
