I mean... I get it, thisis a group that needs this guy because of what he can do for them, but at the end of it I felt like I as a player had no agency. No ability in good faith to at least call them out on 'Guys you're laying it on super thick to try strong arming me. How would you feel if I did that to you?' Even if the end point is the same, it's still 'the guy I'm playing as isn't just blindly allowing himself to be strong armed meekly into being everyone's UPS guy.'

I may just have found my spirit animal. or two.

Looks fun. Why does he have an old radio voice?

it's explained a minute and half later, but to make it short, it's a villain thing. like stroking a fat, lazy cat, but what purrs is your voice.

Huhu, he broadcast his carnage across hell and sinners started calling him the radio demon. I see.
Wait a second, that doesn't explain his voice!  O_o

think of it as Dexter starting to wear an apron and using a meat cleaver when doing his thing after being labeled the Bay Harbor Butcher.

"that nickname is fun, might as well look/sound the part." can't hate villains with that kind of sense of humor.

And for a sec there, I thought that was in relation to an old tank strategy game from the 90s.

I half-heartedly tried to watch Aguirre and while the images were sometimes fantastic, there also was a lot that should have ended up on the cutting room floor. The acting was wooden and often really bad and large parts of it were obviously dubbed over in post, presumably due to sound problems on set. I admire the idea, the determination and bravery, but not the result. I might try Fitzcarraldo, which has an interesting story that coincides with my other pet interest (P.H. Fawcett who was actually in South America during the rubber boom).

I few weeks ago I subscribed to NewYorker.com, 12 weeks digital access for $12 seemed fair, as I really enjoy their articles.
Today I got an email that they will automatically renew my subscription at a rate of $99.99.  :cthulhu:

I disabled the auto-renewal and sent their support an email about it, but TBH it looks like a classic bait & switch. Not something I'd have expected from The New Yorker, but it may not even be in their hands as they belong to Condé Nast who seem to handle the business side for them.

This was mildly interesting to watch as a fan of the genre. But it was rather long and superficial. I didn't really need another summary of Blade Runner's story or descriptions of long forgotten 8bit disasters with film licenses. (Especially when an excellent game adaption exists with Westwood Studios 1997 Blade Runner.)

My kentia palm has to stay indoors during the winter and now doubles as Christmas tree.

Seriously Kolya, after all those years you finally reveal that the breathtaking intro of "Yucatan- Das Gold der Mayas" was shot in your living room!  :stroke: :omg:    :)

Reminds me of a cartoon I used to watch as a kid, set in South America, hunting Inca temples / Pyramid's in search of gold treasure.

What sounds like a lost gem from Stax records is actually from Kelly Finnigan's debut album The Tales People tell, released earlier this year.

There are still surprisingly many excellent, Stax-sounding soul bands around. They perfected the soul vibe back then and as the years went by, it didn't lose one bit of its magic. Instead it matured, like good wine. I can totally imgagine this sound being preserved far into the future, sort of as an antidote to the plastic music industry.

Discovered this just the other day:
