I guess it would be if it was circling the moon. But "minimoon" seems to have won the day.

If it makes probe droid sounds we can still rename it.

The Earth actually has many thousands of moons, depending on how you define the word 'moon'. It was discussed on Q.I. (a British trivia program), and since there are countless items of small size that are natural and orbiting the Earth (mostly too small to be seen easily from five hundred yards away), then they can all be said to be moons, since a moon doesn't have to be a specific size to be classified as such, even if they are no larger than a football or a tea cup. Though probably someone has defined a moon as being at least a certain size, or a certain size relative to the host planet. Then again, Pluto isn't classed as a planet now, officially, because it's not yet finished absorbing most of the matter in it's orbit, but to most people, Pluto still is a planet, the Earth only has one moon and Firefly (a fantastic science fiction TV show) should NEVER have been cancelled.

iirc, as there actually is much more of similar junk tumbling around there, it was either classifying half of it as planets, or stripping Pluto of its planetary status.

much less paperwork with the latter.

After 20 years of distributed computing on private machines SETI@Home has no more data to crunch and will stop end of this month. A final analysis is in the works.

UC Berkeley SETI auf Twitter: "Thanks to the many volunteers who have helped crunch data for SETI@home in the last two decades. On March 31, the project will stop sending out new work to users, but this is not the end of public engagement in SETI research.… https://t.co/JfndlOofwa"

That was a nice little history of Max. I didn't know that he was meant to parody American culture from a UK perspective, specfically a Republican with Liberal friends.
Sledge Hammer had a similar approach.

Also the Theora video codec was named after Theora from this show.

I really enjoyed Sledge Hammer back then when it was on German TV. The original version without the silly german dubs is probably even better. I think I'm going to investigate.

A lot of those sound pretty interesting actually...some could be rather handy.  Too bad he doesn't have Yellow River written by I. P. Freely.

Or...  Hobbies: What Really Interests Us by Paige Turner

Apparently there's a new Comanche-game in the works. I loved the original and the sequels were good too. The third was leaning much closer towards a serious sim, while the fourth entry went back to it's arcade roots but was relatively well done. Unfortunately Novalogic completely lost the plot not long after it. The only respectably thing to come from them since then was Joint Operations in 2004.

The reason I'm posting it here and not in a dedicated new thread is that I have zero confidence in it becoming any good.

That sounds awesome. I listened to a few of them and my favourite must be the solo from Sweet Child o'Mine.

Probably an Easter tradition to commemorate the passion of Christ. I like it.

Google “Why don't we let this wash over the country?” and think about Bob Page (again).

That was entertaining. Also a reminder that Thief doesn't look at all how I remember it.
