In case there were any doubts: https://arethebritsatitagain.org

What is that? Is it some sort of advertisement for something upcoming? Such as a film or a TV program? Or a teaser for something else?

It's an Irish meme. And the website never changes. Take a look at the source code.

I do tend to watch what's happening over there as a kind of darkly comedic drama.

Just so that you know: tomorrow is the launch of the Swatch X Omega collaboration, the 250€-MoonSwatch! Hyper hyper...

Do you intend to buy one? What are it's features?
It looks pretty nice. I'm more of a digital watch fan myself. I've recently modded a Casio GW-M5610U-1ER to my liking. This is how it looks now. It's radio controlled and solar powered and now that the rubber band is gone I'm very happy with it.

I might get one, if they show up online for the retail price sometime. For the time being they are only offered in their official brick and mortar stores and so far, it's unlcear if Swatch will officially start sell them online at a later point. While they explicitly state that these are not limited editions, they are rumoured to be produced only for a limited time. People are literally going nuts over them, including campers in front of the stores and countless scalper auctions.

It's not amounting to much more than excellent marketing, of course. It's basically just a Swatch-made battery-powered, low end quarz chrono that was modeled quite closely after the 6000€ Omega Speedmaster (dubbed Moonwatch because it was "the first watch worn on the moon") with a few cartoonish deviations. The Omega-brand also belongs to the Swatch Group.

I love Casios too, best bang for the buck! I'm especially fond of their JDM-brand Oceanus, which are all also solar powered and radio controlled, feature anti-glare coated sapphire crystal and most (maybe all) of them are made of high grade titanium (meaning light weight and relatively scratch resistant). I've seen a few already and the quality is top-notch. My daily rocker is the OCW-T4000-1AJF

Due to the current global economic situation and what the future might bring, the watch market is totally out of control lately. Many models have ultra long waiting lists (I'm talking years) and since people are currently looking to invest their money into items that hold (or even increase) their value, brands like Rolex see sky rocketing demand. The grey market prices of many models exploded to multiples of their retail prices in the last two years.

I have 2 of these:

I have seen other watches from the same era that had way cooler features like heart rate monitor and changing TV channels but this one has a special place in my heart.

dumb watches are always so much cooler than smart watches

On the basis of that (admittedly very short and hopefully not at all representative) video, I really don't like the art style. And you'd think the video would be a little longer, and with more humour in it, to demonstrate how the finished game is intended to 'feel'.

No Tim Schafer this time. Not sure if that's a good thing. Personally I would've loved a continuation of the art style of The Curse Of Monkey Island. I still love it and think it ages wonderfully.

Quite a difference in art style to the original. Prefer the original.

Seems to be a move away from the older style of cartoon animation. You see it A LOT in modern day remakes of old cartoons. That said, not all remasters graphically are bad. Was a good remaster of Full Throttle released a few years back with new versions of the music tracks and the graphics were made smoother, less pixely.

I think the new style shown in this teaser looks a bit sterile. Every single screenshot of the The Curse of Monkey Island looks like a labor of love and oozes way more charm, while this looks more like your typical indie game standard fare, unfortunately. It's not horrible but certainly too Meh for a new MI-teaser. The music is nice, but again, the third MI is very hard to beat there.
