I have created a little dml that makes use of the NVScript, NVBattery, which is supposed to fix the portable battery bug. My question is, what is a surefire way to make the bug appear? I would like to get myself into a situation where it should be guaranteed to display the bug, so I can check if my fix really fixed the problem.

if I remember correctly, the charged item will not be charged fully when you use your entire stack of batteries onto the charged object. it can be avoided by alt-splitting just one battery from the stack and using the single battery on the item, which will be charged fully then.

It has been my experience that the bug happens intermittently. I think it has something to do with changing levels and the last time you charged up. I haven't paid enough attention to be sure of when it happens, but I am sure it has been intermittent.

The battery gets a random value of power after changing the level (taken from the new object ID I think), this new value might still be higher than 100+10*maintenance sometimes though, making the bug intermittent.

That makes sense. Thanks for the info.
