Well, do some of you surround yourselves with certain content of the System Shock games ? I don't mean simply using a wallpaper, but wearing a System Shock t-shirt or naming your cat after one of the characters ?
Just curious ;)

Well my computers are named SHODAN and Xerxes if that counts. Before that I had a computer named FUCKUP.

lol, ok that counts.
The only System Shock (2) related thing I have is a winamp skin I'm using for such a long time now, I can't even remember when I downloaded it the first time. I really like(d) the whole design of the System Shock 2 interface, so I stuck with it.

I'm currently having this idea to print my own TriOptimum t-shirt, does anyone have the logo in high resolution ?

All logos are stored as PNGs with transparent background for maximum portability. No antialiasing was used to allow easy recoloring. Average resolution of each logo is around 2000 x 2000 pixels.

Grrreat, thanks ! Now I need to sit down and find the right color scheme for a t-shirt... :sly:

Well... my Cell phone has Shodan  looking at me from the screen as a wallpaper.

I was thinking about jamming a flashlight into my forehead, but how would I change the batteries then? Just kiddin.

Info Exame n°164, november/1999 >>> This magazine showed me our beloved/terrifying game System Shock 2 very
years ago, and I've remembered that it is in a locker here in my bedroom. It's a brazilian publication. I wanted show this to our SBF community, for the sake of the nostalgia.  :D

I had one named WOPR. On the topic: I use a modified expSho03.mp3 as ringtone for incoming SMSs ("Transmitting cybernetic modules...").

TheNightTerror from TTLG made me a Trioptimum mug that I use to this day. Quite fond of it.

Well, that's a use, is it not?
I'll put a picture up if I can find my camera. Not sure where I packed it.

Thanks for the Brazilian Mag photos, Cap John.  Those were kinda cool.  I'd also like to see a picture of the mug.

Kolya, a few problems with your old computer, maybe?  :D

I have all the packaging and contents of an original system shock game, I believe from when it was first released.  It came in one of those real big boxes that all computer games used to be in.  In this day of torrents and iso's it seems like it might be kind of rare, but maybe everyone here has one.

I would absolutely buy an SS2 T-shirt if someone came up with something cool and it was good quality.

You mean because the forum was fritzing out a few times?
No, I was just modifying the forum's code. Usually I will put up a message when I do that, but it was a minor change and I was lazy.
Anyway, I do have an originally packed big box SS2 of course. And so do most regulars here I imagine. But yah, it's gotten quite rare, selling high on ebay and the like.
Ahm, real life System Shock... Like many others I get the Triop v-mail sound for incoming text messages. But no one has ever recognised it and asked me! *disappointed look*

Not for my phone, but I have that sound as my "new mail" alert on my PC.

Actually, Kolya, I was referring to this:
Before that I had a computer named FUCKUP.
I assumed your old computer must have incurred your disfavor causing you to retaliate against it with a bit of name-calling.   ;)
67359c27de834
Oh no, I loved that box.
It was named after Hagbard Celine's supercomputer called FUCKUP (First Universal Cybernetic Kynetic Ultramicro-Programmer). He used FUCKUP to calculate the chances of World War III starting, or immanentizing the eschaton, which it does by throwing virtual I Ching sticks. I used mine to play Jedi Knight.
67359c27de964
Wow!  I'm learning all sorts of new things here.  Thanks for the links in that post because I didn't understand a word of it until I got to "Jedi Knight".   :)

oh yeah been naming my computers 'shodan' 'xerxes' for years.. probably the best part of a decade now.

had an email alert for one of my phones for a while
had the theme music for a mobile phone ringtone at some point

As a sysadmin my test environments always have 'Edward Deigo' accounts and OUs like 'Engineering' 'Medical' and so forth haha! setup a test SharePoint site with Trioptimum branding (how i chanced on this thread tonight).

Speaking of shirts:
