note: this is now integrated in SS2tool, SCP, GOG and steam (2.46+)

This mod fixes the portable battery bug, where the battery will not always provide a full charge. It takes advantage of Nameless Voice's NVScript. This mod loads NVScript, so you must have NVScript.osm in your Data directory. You also need to have NewDark version 2.43 or later.

SS2Tool v5.1 (installs NewDark v2.43) https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4141.0

Note: This bug can be avoided without using a mod if you split off a single battery from the stack by using the <alt> key. If you use the mod, the battery will always work correctly even if you forget to split it off first.

Disclaimer: The actual work of fixing the bug was done by Nameless Voice in his script. He implemented it in ADaOB. The mod is only useful for those who are not using ADaOB. It works by calling the script that Nameless Voice wrote.

It takes advantage of Nameless Voice's NVScript.
Of course, by "takes advantage of", you mean it *IS* the fix for the battery bug that NV coded a few years ago.

Was I unclear? My mod is a dml that causes NV's script to be loaded. Thanks so much for your clarification. I'm sure it was a point of confusion.

Updated to v1.1.

The mod now uses the new script-loading feature of NewDark v2.43, so no need for users to update their maps themselves so that NVScript get loaded.
