Seeing as how he said he was going to produce something... and then he did.. and then he took a break, I'd say any illusion of an obligation to the community we may perceive of him has been more than fulfilled.  If he does another weapon that'd be gravy.  Still, I can't help sharing your enthusiasm.

that reminds me, the new wrench world model is not multiplayer safe - too small and googles is holding it on the wrong end (had a screenshot somewhere.. darn).

I am using the TWR and the shotgun has no muzzle flash whilst the pistol does? doesn't bother me too much but id thought you would appreciate the feedback.
great mod! looking forward to the fusion cannon & emp rifle laser rapier next! :)

12 years? that's how long its been since ss2 release, cant believe you guys are still going! you ppl are awesome!

Oh yeah my mistake....

This Tacticool mod is too good, I will pay for the laser rapier & fusion cannon! I have never really cared for graphics but this is an special exception.
Also after the amazing differences of SHTUP & REBIRTH my inner graphics whore has surfaced!

Oooh  someone with money :D  I'll give you a fusion cannon if you pay the bill.  The last guy I tried to hire (for texture work) wanted 60 bucks lol.  I was willing to pay too but not that much.

BTW I have no money I dont even have a job. But if myself and a couple others all made a small contribution each then maybe we could work something out?

Ahh K-Man, what am I to do?  As Tiny Tim would say... "please sir can I have some more?"  He was of course asking for more cash from the "ladies of the evening" as he pimped himself out to them, giving them the ol' Jimmy leg.

Just so there's no confusion I haven't done anything for money myself... the only reason money is an issue on the fusion cannon is because I'm utterly incapable of texturing something that detailed as I found out so paying a professional is 1 way to go.

I know. And I offered to texture the fusion cannon, which I still haven't gotten around to yet, mainly because it requires learning the basics of Blender.

Well your E.M.P rifle is good, but I realise that it was a three man project.
Ok another thing- has anyone modded the laser rapier visually except for changing the colour? LR is awesome would have thought it get an upgrade but has been left out every time :(

Well, I'm not sure anyone's trying to ignore it.  It's just that the LR is a bit basic.  Not much to it and so there's not much to mod?  Then again if you have any ideas that aren't outrageous, feel free to share.

Glad you like the EMP.  99% of the model was done by a third contributor, not me.  My contribution was mostly to tweak it and keep it looking more like the original than it started off.  I think the unnamed contributor of the model had only a basic understanding of the artistic direction we were looking for in this game so it needed a bit of guidance from Rainalkar and myself.

Yeah Kolya I haven't forgotten your generosity.  I'm not trying to push you... just giving some background on how I've tried to get that weapon finished up until now.  I'm grateful for any help on it because it's entirely my responsibility so any help that comes my way will be more than well received.

Well that is a shame, there is about 3 or 4 different model & texture crowbar mods and none for the LR.
It would probably just end up looking like a lightsaber anyway....It is a very effective weapon against most enemies though even if you dont specialise in melee (I never do). All but higher tier annelids go down in a few hits, well and its not very effective againsts spiders either. It is a shame LGS and irrational did not do a tougher, much bigger version of the spider(except the invisible ones), that would have been awesome. and they are infected by the annelids so they should have more stages of evolution.

since you are such a nice guy, not posting useless stuff (that got deleted) and all, I'll share the package I use - includes the ADAOB compatible pistol, and Eldron's psi amp as a bonus. extract the content of the zipped tacticool folder to DataPermMods right after ADAOB.

Sorry, I know i must sound like an idiot but I can't get the pistol texture to work, do you have to install SSMM to run the file? I saw that it was an SS2MOD file soooo... I don't know.

SS2MOD is just a zip file renamed for SSMM management, so you can rename the '.ss2mod' to '.zip' and open it like a standard archive. You can drop the extracted files into DataPermMods or DataTempMods. SSMM will work too of course.

Lol perfect fit! Btw to the original author I love the attention to detail put into this mod like the safety on the side of the pistol and the extra magazine under the barrel. This is a great mod!
