Finished VtMB last night playing for hours :) But it was my first playthrough so there is plenty of stuff I haven't seen...

Ok so I don't expect the PSI-Amp till 2030 ;) But good to know that it will come someday... :D

If and when Psi Amp is made, please don't forget to include vhot :)

@Marvin
It's going to have to be the texture since SS2 doesn't support smoothing groups and the FOV for the viewpoint ensures that all held weapons get warped horribly.

Basically the dark engine lets me have all hard edges, or no hard edges :(

@Rainalkar
Definitely!  Please remind me if I do :)

That looks a lot better in my opinion.  :thumbwink:

That's not quite true.  Dark supports smoothing groups but only on a per-material basis.  So, you could apply the same texture more than once as different materials, and apply different smoothing groups (well, flat or not flat) to each.

Nothing can ever be easy when dark is involved :|

Now that's what I'm talkin about !

Only criticism...and this comes a bit too late....is that all the weapons seem to point right at the reticle, which makes the angle a bit severe.  Since the reticle can be imagined to be part of a virtual interface and since the POV of the player's line of sight is not colinear with the muzzle-target line, it is more likely that the weapon would be pointed slightly right of the reticle so that it appears a bit more straight.

Excellent work as usual.

RocketMan just asked me if I'd heard about "the latest shit"...

Coming here I knew about what to expect. I've been a fan ever since you released the first pistol and in this case I had even playtested the untextured gun last night. Looking at the screenshots now I'm amazed. :D

I admit I was skeptical when just looking at the untextured version, but the textures really make the model. Yowza.

The fleet-footed god delivers again
Why hasn't Citadel Conversion Project assimilated this man?

Presumably because people would prefer that the fleet-footed god finished recreating the original SS2 guns.

Thanks guys!

Probably after I finish another gun, I'll start dabbling with AI meshes again.
I'll assist CCP with anything necessary to make a functional Medical deck.

As much as I'd love to see CCP finally come to fruition, I can't say I disagree. ;)

Take your time. You're doing an awesome job; it's completely understandable if you'd rather finish this job first.

Why not make a thread about it here?  It'd be nice to know where the project stands, who's working on it and what needs to be done.
