Sshock 2 hotu, can't get passed menu, help plz!!?

hello, i got the hotu sshock2 version of game from some site, i installed everything perfect, i actually got to play it for about 10 minutes, everything looked good, called it a night.  Next morning i try to play it, and it loads up the menu, with sound and everything, click on new game, then start new game.... that is where it crashes. i restarted my comp, i re-installed everything, and nothing, it won't let me get passed the start new game menu. Anybody know whats goin on with this thing, please help a frustrated nerd out a little

VICTORY,    JUST REMOVE ALL THE VIDEO FILES, R E M O V E THEM, AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY!!!!!
