about that clip through computer terminals - can be fixed by adding extra physics objects that mirror the terminal shape better, but it needs to be manually done for each individual terminal. something I'm not looking forward to.
Well, I could alter the model and add a plane with an invisible texture. That would do the trick, right?

I'm not sure, and no time to mess around this - but if you want to try something out, I'm certainly not going to stop you. and if it works, well, even better.
deck 5 bug textures:
-no idea what is supposed to be wrong on pic 004
-crates sinking into the ground a bit too much on pic 003, will be fixed
-the ceiling textures on pic 002 are intentional, but the one on the wall isn't, will be fixed
-pic 001 I have no idea how did you managed to do that, post a save so I can analyze

it happens when you shoot the grate from the tunnel under it. physics properties will have to be modified to prevent that, probably.

Please never stop, System Shocked.
Now that's just cruel. You know very well that he doesn't understand sarcasm.

As for System, I wonder if it has ever occurred to him that his cryptic screenshots might be easier to decode if he disabled the insane psychedelic bloom.

hey, in the last post, he got 4 out 5 right, that's something, ain't it. but yeah, that bloom is horrendous, as already mentioned a couple of times.

As long as the development tools are available (ShockED namely) then that opportunity is always there.
You're very pedantic with the details...perhaps you'd make a good modder?

Not in the form of the present large scale SS2 overhaul that the SCP project presents now. Who knows if a detailed undertaking such as this will surface down the road - SS2 is now 15 years old and the public interest in investing effort/time in a future large scale SS2 update mod will wane over time (legal issues notwithstanding). I hope I'm wrong, but I think the future of meaningful SS2 development rests in the hands of the SCP Dev team. The SS2 community at large should throw everything they have at improving the SCP NOW. It's a rare opportunity that should definitely not be taken lightly or missed. That's why I'm all in, no holds barred.

Regarding becoming a good modder, that ship departed awhile back (missed my calling, I suppose). I'm comfortable with and prefer tweakin' the work that's been done by others, which I've, in my view, successfully done a lot of (based on comments/praise provided by the modders). I find the work very gratifying. I'm so grateful/excited that I have an opportunity to improve SS2 (within my top-5 favorite games) through the SCP project. HOORAAH ! ! !

Speaking of which, I need to get back to the neck-wrenching, eye-staining and head-tilting acrobatics of weeding out those insidious bugs that lurk deep within SS2. Based on my Feedback Report #2, voodoo47 commented that even after reviewing/searching through 50+ SCP builds of Medsci1, that bugs still exist within the level - SHEESH, dem' bugs dig deeep, reaaalllly deeeep, waaaaayyyyy deeeeep. Well, mark my words, their days are numbered.

Speaking of which, if you don't stop clogging this thread with page-long posts about how super great you are, your ability to do so will be forcible curtailed.

how to create a gif?

I used Photoshop. I am sure other software (Gimp) works as well. But I never used it. Apparently there are also online GIF generators these days. I never used those either.
If you get into this and post GIFs here, please set the image change frequency to something like 1 second minimum. And use GIFs sparingly. They can get annoying.

Hey System, keep em' comin', you're reported issues are more in the positive than the negative . . . . . keep it up.

As suggested by others ( namely, lovable sourpuss ZylonBane ), educate yourself in utilizing fairly simple programs so that your reported issues are clearly displayed and understood. At this important stage in the further development of the SCP, it's important that your bug reports are not misunderstood or ignored.

For one thing, your screenshots are TOO dark, so important details can't be seen (voodoo47 must have special glasses in helping him decipher exactly what you're reporting, or he's just very good at what he does). There are many free image editors available that allow you to "brighten" your images. I use Image Tuner v5.0 - it's completely FREE and easy to use.

For another, images posted directly to this website have a limited lifespan that expires after 14 to 28 days. I use MyImgur v3.75, which is completely free.

You should recognize that your efforts/support for improving SS2 through the SCP is invaluable. So far, there are very few individuals that are submitting bug reports through Systemshock.org. The further development of the SCP will be a long-term ongoing project, so don't diminish your hard work in reporting additional bugs by not taking advantage of these free tools.

If you're having any difficulty in using the programs that I've mentioned/recommended, please send me a PM and I'll be happy to walk you through using them.

We active bug reporters NEED to stick together !

- command2 1669 botticelli wont show again after first cycle
- hydro corpse difficult to loot
- Nikki bed mattress strangly positioned, the other could be off as well (something for Olfred?)
- rec cinema foyer corpse besides own bloodpool
- rec1 log1862 in table

Thank you very much, ZB. Greatly appreciated. And SCP is fantastic. Greatly enjoying it!!

Oke...

1) Busted engineering storage door has no clipping/collision detection for dropped objects (is that the correct terminology?)  Image: http://imgur.com/jgjZmrH

2) Probably SHTUP-ND related (should that be reported here?): Med/Sci faucet texture is inconsistently low res compared to the two valves Image: http://imgur.com/NaXxhdv

Btw I was afraid SHTUP would look inconsistent with the vanilla AI-models but so far I really like the overall look of my ss2tool+SCP+SHTUP+basta! setup.

yeah, that door is like that. could add physprops to make it collide with objects, but that would result in some major suckage because of colliding with the player. to make it short, having no physics is bad, but having them is worse.

and yeah, SHTUP does not update all textures (yet), so you will see a lowres texture here and there.

SCP+SHTUP and nothing else is a very valid mod combo for anyone wanting a close to vanilla look. the only thing you should avoid is SCP without SHTUP (we made sure SCP will work even without SHTUP, but you will lose all texture fixes - remember, SHTUP not only brings them up to proper res, but also fixes issues).
