No I don't think so.
I think nothing triggered at all with SCP and the ride was missing from SecMod. (They both use the new "remade" eng2, right?)

also, if you have a save right before eng2 (before the bulkhead from eng1 to eng2), you can try this: go to the SCP folder, and rename eng2.mis into something else, then load the save right before eng2, go through the bulkhead, and start the sequence, and see what happens.

I tried with renaming eng2 before entering it now, and the problem is still there.

well, the good news is that it's not SCP then. the bad news is I'm not able to replicate, even from your save.

anyway, the issue has been logged, hopefully we'll find out the reason sooner or later.

This fixed map solves the problem, and the ride around works!

Maybe some dml fuckup you get with a certain combination of mods?

Or maybe if the dmls from SS2Tool v6 are missing?

I use the dmls from SS2Tool v6, my setup of mods is similar to the 2nd post by voodoo.

Fred, any chance you have changed your v-sync or framerate limit options?

I run a 144Hz monitor with GSync support. Not sure if I set something particular in the game.

talked about this to a bunch of senior dromeders/shockeders, and this turned out to be a fps/physics problem. in Dark, a lot of physics stuff is tied to the framerate, and will not work properly if you go a fair bit over (or under) the recommended (and cfg pre-set) value of 60 (already observed in Thief on the keeper library statue puzzle where you need to drop chunks of rocks to the pedestals to weight them down).

it seems like a slight modification to the movement speed of the platform that ferries the player around will make it work even with nonstandard fps. will be added into the next version of SCP.

but look at that, a proper bugreport, a picture that displays the problem, description and everything. *sheds a tear*

just to make this very clear, mixing old mods and installs with the new stuff is a bad idea™, and may result in random and unpredictable issues. the best thing you can do is to create a completely new install of SS2, preferably with ss2tool 6.0, get the latest versions of mods, and load everything with the blue mod manager.

also, there is a small compatibility issue with SCP and ss2tool 5.x - if you are using a ss2tool 5.x SS2 install, delete the misdml folder before you launch SCP.

I don't see a 6.0 version available, only 5.1 (https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=4141.0).

This room http://i.imgur.com/lX76uhn.jpg has six instances where handrail posts are adjacent to each other, and none of the posts transpose their position with the other. The difference being that all these posts have a gap between them. The adjacent handrail posts in the Mess Hall, and the second location where the issue exists, that exhibit the problem are positioned such that they clip into each other, which I suspect is the reason for them transposing.

For the time being, ditch the glassed handrails until a fix is found? Non-glitchy handrails are better than glitchy ones, yes-no?
