yes.
also, the entire folder of the save in question needs to be zipped and posted.

ok, bit the bullet and compiled all the fixes and additions from the last couple of pages into one full package (SECMOD3.2):

-kicked all the incompatible models out of the package
-integrated the dml fix
-gamesys now has an unique name, simplifying dml modding
-added dml stubs, so dml stub mods are (maybe) compatible now
-purged lost objects from all maps and the gamesys (lets hope nothing will break)
-added the last version of hydro4 and gamesys that has been shared earlier

this basically means you no longer need to manually mess around the Secmod folder to get it up to date and mod ready anymore, you just get the 3.2 package and it's good to go (you still need all the Rebirth stuff if you want to use Rebirth though, I'll have a look at that later). leaving 3.1999 attached for the moment, just in case. also if you want to update, do not drop the 3.2 files into a 3.1999 modfolder, load 3.2 cleanly.

I just got back into SS2 and was thinking of getting this.
I've installed SS2Tool, added the mod (v3.2) through the mod manager alongside the RealSG mod. It crashed. I loaded Secmod alone, it crashed again.
I added the dmlfix just in case, and it still crashed. I'm not sure if it's a load order issue or something else, since I noticed that only the intrface folder was added through BMM

Just tried it again with a load order of Secmod_RealSG, the dmlfix, and the mod itself (i think that's correct, looking at the newbie's modding guide.) still crashed.
here's my ss2.log, crash.dmp, and ss2bmm.log (for the load order): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1x8QnTyTuJprgv7mM6i_r0lflL-YwzCHH

does the game work with absolutely no mods?

ok, go to the Secmod3.2 folder and rename the intrface folder into something else, see whether that makes the mod not crash.
67405df79a68f
Followed your instructions renamed the interface folder to interface1 and the game boots.  Should I continue and see if your mod works.  Never used it before.

Although I to get a unrecognized in the mod manager/loader with Secmod.

you definitely shouldn't be getting an unrecognized tag no matter whether the intrface folder is renamed or not (post a screenshot maybe).

anyway, renaming the intrface folder is not really a solution - rename it back, and move away or delete all the files inside, leaving only the SHYDRO2 and meters folders. that will get rid of the custom Secmod main menu, but hopefully allow you to play the mod without any other unwanted side effects.

my guess is that your very old gpu (integrated gf6 series) doesn't like the format of some of the custom textures.

I am running two R390x cards.  Wait....  The only folder I had was the intrface folder.  And there was one file in there.  Could I be doing something wrong on a truely idiot scale?

whoops, you aren't the guy that shared the crashlogs earlier. yeah, you should have way more files and folders in the Secmod folder, maybe your download was corrupt or your antivirus is preventing the files from being extracted properly?
67405df79ac02
Neg different guy with the same problem.  When I used the loader to install the mod it only did the Intrface folder. Nothing else.  I took a look in the mod zip file and realized I was missing a crap ton.  How do I fix that.
67405df79acf9
All the other mods extracted fine.  It is just Sec.  I don't know what to say.  I will re download itand try again.
67405df79adf2
Redownloaded and still doing the same thing.  It is not tard waring with anything on extract.  This is freaking weird.

Go back to the mods folder, and extract the files from the archive to the Secmod folder. Not sure why, but the mod manager acts weird when adding secmod.

Also, thanks for the help. I try it on my other computer to see if it works before deleting.

sorry for the triple post, but i checked the intrface files in the archive and compared it to the intrface files that extracted.
the problem was that the file didn't extract correctly at all with BMM. only one folder and one file total. i extracted everything, fixed the intrface folder, and it works.

ok, so both of you guys are now fine, and in both cases, the problem was BMM not auto-extracting the mod properly? I'll have to have a look at that (7zipped it like any other mod available here, just for the record).

//yes, BMM doesn't extract the archive properly for some reason. will be investigated. //fixed the archive, all future downloaders should have no issues extracting via the modmanager.

Still crashing to desktop when I extract manually.  This is just odd.  I am glad Zack has gotten his to work but mine is still acting up.  Any ideasVoodoo?  Having said that if I delete everything by the Shydro and Meters folders I should still be able to play with your mod working correct?  If so I will just swing it that way as your mod seems to really be the type I want to grind into the dirt for a weekend.
