Haven't gotten very far yet, but so far it's awesome!  Two quick questions though:
1 - Could we get hot keys for the super-heal and super-PSI hypos (the ones you build with Tinker)
2 - Not sure if this is even possible, but could you make it so that hitting the "change mode" key with the PSI-Amp cycled you through the PSI tiers instead of opening the PSI menu in the inventory?  It's near impossible to switch to a discipline on another tier in combat with the vanilla system.

PSI-amp mode switching is hard-coded into the engine, I don't think we can work around it.

However, you can switch PSI tiers by assigning a hotkey to the tier itself, or a power in it.
PSI hotkeys are a little underused, but here's a copy-paste of the instructions:

Psi skill usage
F1 through F5 cycle all powers in that tier. F1 through F10 can be used to assign hotkeys for skills.
To assign hotkeys within the game, place the mouse pointer over the psi power you want to assign, hold down Shift and press the appropriate F-key.

You can also rebind the ammo/fire mode switching hotkeys to something more convenient.

The relevant hotkeys are "Change Weapon Setting", which I rebinded to c and "Change Ammo Type" which I rebinded to v. The first one cycles through the abilities in your current tier. The second one only opens the psi menu. I then use the F1-F5 keys to switch tiers.

On top of that, I find these hotkeys more convenient in general for all weapons.

I should do something with those super hypo objects, meanwhile to add hotkeys for them, edit user.bnd and add lines like so where the bindings are:
bind z "use_obj healax"
bind x "use_obj psiax"

Can use any keys, even combos like "alt+h" if too many keys are already taken

Didn't know about the hotkeys thing for PSI, thanks!  Also, thanks ThiefsieFool for the info on how to set keys for the hypos, I thought it would be nice to have a "panic button" for the healing one.

Alright so i got through the many.. Yikes that was hard.. I think i tried it like 20 times before i finally was able to defeat it. However now after swimming through the last part and the game loads the Where am i map, it crashes :(

Could you try again? I tried to go through with a recent save and there was no crash, sometimes there are just random crashes on transitions, even in the original game.

Oh and if it persists, attach the crash.dmp file from your SS2 folder in a post here and we'll have a look.
6740c7deefbd8
Tried it a few times now, running the game as admin. Unfortunately it still crashes..

Here is my crash.dmp file

Can you provide a save from just before the crash?
6740c7deefdf9
Yes ofcourse! Heres my latest save. Its from after the Many has been defeated, and i have just jumped into the tunnel

Also if it changes anything i've attached a screenshot of my Blue Mod Manager

Delete save_14 after crash, and then load autosave from \Current

Is there any trick to wire puzzles or is it just brute force method every time? It's easy with one wire, but two wires make a gorillion possible combinations.

The progress bar should help a lot, it's the blue bar that increases/decreases under the puzzle.
Two-wire puzzles should be solved in no time if you watch the bar carefully while three wire ones can take a minute or two, the only really hard puzzle is in the Rickenbacker if you play on Hard or Impossible.

Well then i have a problem, i am using upscaled gui because the original one is too tiny to read
("d3d_disp_scaled_2d_overlay 64" setting in cam_ext.cfg)
and the bar you are talking about is seems to be overlapped by bottom left gui element http://i.imgur.com/w9Iwq0i.jpg

this is a known problem - try a different hud scaling setting (for example, d3d_disp_scaled_2d_overlay 800 600).

Imho, the best setting for the HUD overlay when using the 1680x1050 resolution is the following:
d3d_disp_scaled_2d_overlay 1024 640
'Best settings' for SS2, that is. Never tried the Secmod, though.
For me this produces an overlay without any overlap or unneccessary blanks on the screen.
Note that the values are not required to produce any 'real resolution'.
So, you can play around with them.

I know about this option, it's just i prefer my interface to be crisp and pixely, rather than smooth and blurred. I would rather just move the wire puzzle box a bit further up, if possible. I removed gui scaling and solved the puzzle, indeed very cool mechanics.

Another oddity i found, ExperTech implant does't do anything (no boosts to stats whatsoever) Readme file doesn't mention any changes to this implant.

6740c7def1522ThiefsieFool

6740c7def1576
I think we can try moving the wire puzzle a little higher.
ExperTech isn't supposed to boost stats, it only provides a bonus to your % chances when using Hack, Modify and Repair, check for that instead.
