no, a false memory.

alright, i guess it's from playing too many other RPG's where you can do this.

I think that security thing is also an original bug, I remember hacks and alerts being weird when you save/reload.
66f8e40fcbec1
I see.. Well i guess i could just try to find the image and make it transparent.

I think the NVPlayerScript script fixes that - is it assigned to the player in Secmod?

All the big features use it so it's definitely assigned, I just don't think it fixes that bug.

See the text log and put the code does not work there seems to be something wrong there not a guide to the codes of the mod ? I 'm gonna have to restart ,seri or someone kindly give me the code
66f8e40fcc367
not not open the code is the same as the original System Shock 2
66f8e40fcc50e
the code of the door of the room to vent the radiation in engineering

The code is 15565, for the record the codes are in the same locations, you just need to read the text of the log to see the new code in between asterisks.
66f8e40fcc719
I read , but not change the code number out of the original game, you think q due to the translation to Spanish that I have ? and if not the problem which could be

66f8e40fcc7c2voodoo47

66f8e40fcc828
pretty sure a spanish translation made for the vanilla game will not work properly with Secmod.

Playing with a language other than English is definitely a problem, there's a ton of new objects and weapons that don't have names in other languages, especially custom translations. Who knows, maybe I'll localize "Secmod" at some point, but for now it's a bad idea to use translations.

thanks ... well they do here ? create mods ? whatever the truth not even know where to start

Okay now I am experiencing an actual problem.  I believe it is the mod, because I deactivated all but SM3.

In Recreation, when I get out to the big open area, I'm always crashing.  "System Shock 2 has stopped working."

I've noticed however, that right before it does, I see greyed out textures, and the game freezes. Very odd phenomenon.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I'd hate to abandon a game, especially when this mod is so awesome.

can you provide the crash.dmp? should be in your SS2 folder - it will probably be quite big, but it should compress nicely. also include your shock2.log (same folder).

How do I upload it?  Just found it, it's 52kb.

sounds like full dumps are not enabled. edit LG.ini, set CrashDump=4 and produce a full crashdump, zip it with winzip, upload to some online storage and post the link here.

you forgot shock2.log - attach it here (it's tiny).

ok, bad stuff going on in the log - assuming you are on a laptop with an integrated gpu, make sure you have the latest driver installed.

another quick thing you can try is the directx6 safemode, edit cam_ext.cfg (notepad) and add a semicolon right in front of use_d3d_display so it would look like this:
Code: [Select]
;use_d3d_display
save and exit, see whether it helps.

Looks like it's just those smartgun textures from mesh/txt16 that are non power of two, Rec open area is exactly where you find the first smartgun.
I can have those fixed in about 2 hours unless someone wants to race me to it and upload the fix
