Topic: Was ShockEd ever updated? Read 1142 times

So i've been working a great deal in shocked earlier, but never released anything. I wanted to take a look at what i had made years ago and fired up my old dromed file.. I've forgotten most of how it works now unfortunately.

My question is , if shocked/dromed ever got updated to work better and maybe even work with NewDark? If so, where can i get it ?

Thanks !

EDIT: I found this in the help section. However my lighting is not working in the map i've made, which it did before. Its all just lit bright up. Is there something i need to do to get lightning to work? And does the version of Shocked Provided in the link work with newdark?
EDIT2: ... aaand dont mind the lightning, forgot i had to toggle the lighting on objects etc, in the editor :-)

Yes, in fact most of the changes in NewDark seem to have been made on the editor. Currently the recommended shocked edition is the ShockEd Basic Toolkit by antimatter_16.
You can follow the install instructions there or you can use the ss2tool beta 6 version to install it.

Thanks Kolya ! Tried out the beta of your SS2Tool and it works. The ShockEd Basic package that your tool downloads seems to be working better than the old one. However, i wished there were some way to maximize the editor window.. Its a real pain to work with in that tiny window :P

You can maximize it by pressing ctrl+alt+f3 or editing a cfg file, can't remember exactly which.

you can specify the size in user.cfg, edit_screen_size 1024,768 for example. you can also turn on hardware rendering, see D3D9 render options in dromed.cfg.
