I'll start on the readme now, Apart from anyones suggestions, like Voodoos, i think this should be good for the new version :), I think it should xdiesps Portable QBR Machine, since you did all the work :).

Xdiesp Let me know if you wanted to add anything else since you last posted then i'll get the readme set up.

morgwin: if no bugs pop up, we should be ok! This helped me relax and clear my mind a little, when I had to make new movies for Infinite and had no ideas... :P

Description

This mod will allow the player to summon human reinforcements, using a special QBR machine.
                                             
Installation
***********************
1# Update your installation with SS2Tool
2# Place the mod folder (contents should be shock2.gam, mod.ini etc) inside the "DMM" folder within the System Shock 2 folder.
3# Open ss2bmm.exe and activate this mod (if using the SCP version, make sure Marines mod has higher priority.)
4# Make sure this mod has the highest priority (or at least higher than any other weapon mods)
5# Highly recommended to start a new game.

"If using the SCP version, Activate SCP first, then follow the following steps." it's actually "If using the SCP version, make sure Marines mod has higher priority." - the activation order matters not. basically;

1# Update your installation with SS2Tool

Just give me the time to complete the current video, and I'll update this mod and the first post. By coincidence, the video features friendly marines so there's that.

I'll update the first post now! Hey morgwin, try making a full run with the mod and check if any achievement of sort is doable. Like beating the game using just marines. And by next week, if you've got free time ask me and I'll pass you the latest build of the Infinite beta to test.  :thumb:

Infinite is built on top of the Adaob 0.3 mod, you could ask to place yours on top of the SCP. But I don't know the details about the installation of SCP.

SCP is in a zip files that you unpack then place in the DMM folder and activate with the mod manager. not sure if that's what you meant.

If the exe works for everyone, it should be fine to add to the main post, You may want to keep the rar version as a manual install alternative.

The page is very good! One of these days, you should teach me how to make Infinite's page on Moddb better: I wonder how it would look with the same dark look.

Generally I would avoid distributing mods as executables. I have done so myself in the past, because I thought it would be useful. But actually an unnecessary executable creates deserved fear and suspicion among users, making a small advantage naught.
That being said, I downloaded the exe for testing purposes. I selected "temp" to be the destination folder for the mod. This path was automatically extended with "\systemshock.org\Portable QBR Machine". If anything it should be extended with "\DMM\Portable QBR Machine".

Thanks for  the feedback Xdiesp & Kolya. I had the same worries about the exe, that's why i posted it here as a test, i'l look into the issue but like you suggested we might just stick with using rar/zip instead.
