you're bit late to the party, as I'm not asking the first voice actor to redo logs 1 and 3. the rest will be given consideration - especially 13/2, I actually have no idea what's going on there with the command availability. can someone explain?

He's saying the captain might get in trouble and be removed from his command, thus making the position available.

so, is "command available soon" good then?

As opposed to 62 kilograms high and weighing 1.65 meters?

It's basic SOP. It lessens possible confusion with the terminology for those who are inexperienced with the English language.

There's nothing wrong with that part, it's standard military phrasing. But, those two sentences at the end are a bit awkwardly written. I'd change it from this:
When we get to L5 and the UNN get involved, he'll be in big trouble.\n\nHmm, I wonder if there might be a command available soon?\n
To this:
When we reach L5 and the UNN get involved, he'll be in big trouble. Hmm, I wonder if his command might become available soon?\n

ok. also shouldn't it be "UNN getS involved"?

That's a British-English/American-English difference. BrE treats organization names as plural ("Sony are...", etc), while AmE treats them as singular.

So yes, an American speaker would say "the UNN gets". But if you got a native British speaker to voice that part it would be "get".

BTW, the resource folders for this are a freaking mess. TXT16 has tons of unused textures from Ponterbee Station.

I'd like to take a shot at re-rendering the custom signage. All that pixelated, non-antialiased text drives me nuts.

pretty much everything's a mess (judging from the orig notes, and the state of the level, I'd say it was about 60% done at the point of the original release). for example, the doors use modified textures to avoid the vonBraun reference, but the resources have not been renamed, so you'll get VB doors again once you use SHTUP. I plan to rename them appropriately for the "final" 1.03 release.

if you are willing to create SHTUP versions of those textures (doors with vb logo, screens with Tau Ceti and Xerxes captions etc) with the references removed, you are welcome to, of course. can't hurt to have a set of more generic resources available in case someone would want to make new FMs in the future.

Have you attempted to contact Pixie? It would be useful to know what font he used for the main Minstrel logo.

I did, but no reply so far - the only active thing I could find was his TTLG account, sent him a pm, but no idea whether the email to which is it connected to is still active. his last TTLG post is years old.

I am 98.5% positive that the font is Mistral.
Now to find a version that does not cost 35 bucks...
