WHA !  :P   .   .   .   you guys, and your damn tinkering   http://i.imgur.com/wt2VK7Q.jpg   :)

That's from my chemtex2.mtl
Didn't know if it would be used on another model or not.

welcome to the world of system shock, where everything is connected to everything and your fix attempts will blow it up.

Well, to be honest I never worked with the mtl files, especially not the render passes. So I probably set it up incorrectly. But whoever want's can correct it.

EDIT: Nevermind, played around with it myself. This should work properly now.

Not SCP Beta 2 issues, but just some of its many benefits, for those with discerning eyes   http://i.imgur.com/0t3tnJI.jpg

I don't see anything sticking out of the wall.

EDIT: Oh, you showed of what has been fixed.
Yeah, but when you want to show some error which has been fixed, it would be good to see what it was like before.
How should anyone know it was faulty?

Thanks for trying and the effort, you damn bastard  :D . I guess it's back to the transparent chemical containers, for now.

Yes, back to how they're supposed to and will continue to look. Oh, the pain.

OK, fair enough, here ya' go. This is the aisle before SCP Beta 2 http://i.imgur.com/OfbSiE0.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/HtoU5QR.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/ydEKxy5.jpg and the missing ceiling light http://i.imgur.com/YnwYwCi.jpg

Other than the missing ceiling light, it's not earth shattering, but it's the accumulative effect and focus towards identifying and fixing hundreds (eventually thousands) of issues, both big and small. An ocean begins with one drop of water   .   .   .

EDIT:
I just played through Engineering's Cargo Bays 1 & 2 using SCP Beta 2, and the improvements were very welcomed :
- Ceiling lighting fixtures fixed.
- Ceiling texture mis-alignment fixed.
- Floor texture mis-alignment fixed.
- Numerous corrupted shipping crate textures fixed.

Wholeheartedly agree with Yankee Clipper, IT LOOKS FANTASTIC ! , especially with the new darker brown color. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Here's how the chemical containers look using the newly updated CHEMTEX2.mtl file   http://i.imgur.com/Fz79AQq.jpg

Thanks for your sticktoitiveness, and seeing this through towards creating a simple but realistic addon for SS2.

These bar stools sure look petty far away from the bar. Plus, the one closest in the pic isn't even in front of the bar.

as seen in other parts of the game, those bar chairs are movable, so there is no reason to align them with anything.

67436b3e5acb9Yankee Clipper

67436b3e5ad04
Not sure what you mean. They are not movable by the player, like the chairs are. Plus, just looking at them, you can see there is no base to them. They are planted in the floor. If they were movable, they would fall over.

it's the future. they are probably magnetic.

I've mentioned several instances of these in my feedback reports. Their placement is inconsistent and makes no sense.

Who wants to sit on a potentially dangerous teetering stilt, especially when you're drinking more potent booze in the future?

Magnetic ???  To avoid theft and possible use as an all out brawl weapon, old tech works best - anchor them to the floor.

The stools being anchored comes in handy, especially when you're drunk   .   .   .   or drunk and vacuuming  .  .  .  .  .  HICCUP!

people. because they like to do stupid things.

67436b3e5b186Yankee Clipper

If they are planted in the floor, they wouldn't teeter. If they were magnetic and able to be moved by anyone who just wants to move them, they would not be stable. But, you can tell by looking at them, they are permanently installed, as is commonly seen at lunch counters. They are just poorly aligned

Yeah, you're right, so it's the reverse of what I said - you figure out which.
