Dayam. Talk about overreactions.

chuckles n chestnuts: When was Voodoo using your FM as an example of bad FM design? I've seen it used as an example of a FM that could use a little more work (I've said as much of it myself), but that is only because we liked what we saw but at the same time could see where it needs some improvement/additional bits added to turn a 6 into a 8. I fail to see the negative there. We all only want to see this good thing you made, be improved into something far better. Compare the Floppy version of System Shock 1 to the CD version. Which was better? Very similar thing here.

Also, holding unto those negative feelings of being wronged will do you no good in the long run. Always try and look at things from other peoples shoes. Especially if this is something you want to do more of in the future. Feedback, both positive and negatives comes with it. Does not matter if it's your first released work or not. Always comes with it.

As hard as it can be, cutting off your emotions and just logically looking at any criticisms or feedback is essential to becoming a better level/game designer in the future. If it causes you to have a huge meltdown that your still fuming about a month or more later, that's not a good habit to get in. Let it go and move on + get those changes into your FM or work on more. The fact that your still now, bringing up comments said months ago is never a good thing. Let it go. All that time spent sitting there typing those posts could have been better used in dromed.

Join usss! clearly has got to get the last word in Learonys, but thank you for seeing it from your own perspective.  I particularly love how he makes brash assumptions about me, basically calling me a maniacal crazed liar (to what evdience he has I have no clue, this person knows nothing about me lol).  He clearly has to condescendingly put others down to make himself feel propped up (the evidence is in his posts and how he attempts to mythodically make me look like crazed lying fool which again, I have no idea where he gets these erroneous claims!).

He talks about me saving my ego in previous posts when he himself is doing just that by squeezing everything he can out of what I say to make me look bad.  Talk about calling the kettle black!  XD

And icemann, heres the backstory on this for your information in case you didn't know:

This isn't about my initial post, this all started when voodoo had a misunderstanding about a design flaw he thought was intentional (which was cleared up) and used it as an example on someone else's post which I happened to have read and notified him about; and join usss! decided to put his 2 cents in for whatever reason.  And it snowballed from there, and now Voodoo split the post up and made this entire argument its own post because it was attached to another posters post which had nothing to do with the now created argument.

I hope that clears up the confusion for you icemann.

Edit: oh heres something interesting:

"Hey guys here's my work I'm going to make publicly available but explain absolutely nothing about it, and then lose my shit when someone inevitably asks me two very reasonable questions about what it actually is!"

Now who's twisting the truth Join usss?

Everyone had that one friend or acquaintance at some point in their life where you couldn't ever believe a damn word they said due to frequent lies or twisting of the truth. Better to distance yourself immediately.

Again, Join usss! twisting the truth about me, he has no Idea who I am!  XD

And Join usss!  if you see this post as you most likely will, take your own advice and distance yourself from me you jerk.  The sooner the better...

Chuckles, be cool. Join uss, give it a rest, please. You can see he feels attacked by you. Legitimately or not it's best to stay away for a while. Further explanations from either side won't resolve this.
