What is the concensus on weapon repairing? Do most people have it active in the game, or is there a way to deactivate it? I thought I read somewhere that there was a way to deactivate it?

What do you mean by "deactivate it"? It's a skill you have to learn and then use on broken guns. Weapons don't repair themselves. They only break by themselves.

You probably mean gun degradation, right? Well, there is a "mod" that can "deactivate" it.
