I don't know if anyone has encountered this issue or not, but when I play with my son on our lan...I don't see his icon on my map/mini-map but he sees mine regardless who hosts. We are using mod-manager and did the whole patch-up stuff using that patch/ht-fix/etc tool. Any suggestions?

Are you or he using any mods? Like for example my UARMM? This one has similar bug. Working on an update this weekend.

I had this same problem. Did you merge the CRFs with Kolya's SS2tool before moving them to RES to make mod-ready? If you moved them, and then merged CRFs, then the MP icons, motions, and some ingame text will be either corrupted or missing.

Merge CRFs, then make mod ready. It worked for me.

Your case is rather special leaf as you manually made your game mod ready and then chose a wrong option from the SS2 Tool. I'd be somewhat surprised if IAMV did exactly the same thing.

Actually I used the tool but instead of choosing each option one at a time I instead click all the needed options in one shot assuming the tool would prosess each option in the order they are listed in the tool.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to know whether moving the crfs to the res folder is really needed when using mod manager after merging crfs. One more thing...could this be a possible reason for the level 5 bug in ponterbee?

Which is exactly what it does.

No, the Modmanager will do that then. As explained in the typical case procedures of the SS2Tool.

Ok.... to make things clear...I'll re-explain the proble and the solution. I was not able to see my icon in the map during multiplayer. I was advised in this thread via the link given not to move files to RES folder on the tool used to patch things. Instead...once I get all other needed opions in the pathcer utility I need done, then I installed mod manager and it moved the crfs to the res folder inself. Problem solved and V is happy.
