As Rainalkar has largely withdrawn from System Shock 2 modding, i have taken over maintaining Alyamod with his permission.
Keep in mind i only have rudimentary knowledge about modding this game, but i will try to react to feedback.

GDrive documentation

Best used with Blue Mod Manager (Edit: listed at highest priority there). Also make sure you have no HYDRO2.DIF in the main game directory!

Changelog:
  • Complete MedSci deck items, camera locations, enemy spawn points etc. randomized.
  • Some of the more obscure quest item locations altered.
  • Body of the Many slightly less dark.
  • Projectile speed of preplaced enemies in missions equalized with intended gamesys value (were mostly vanilla values and thus ridiculously slow).
  • Repair skill cyber module cost lowered.
  • Cryokinesis and Pyrokinesis projectiles autotargets at PSI 8.
  • Cryokinesis multiplier damage vs. Mech increased from 1 to 1,5.
  • Fusion Cannon secondary mode overhauled; now kills even the sturdiest targets (Rumbler, Assault Droid etc.) in 2-4 hits, although quiet costly ammunitionwise and with a slow projectile.
  • Assault Rifle fire rate decreased by ~50%.
  • Stasis Field Generator secondary mode stun duration increased by 50%.
  • Viral Proliferator damage increases somewhat over time.
  • Lowered the cost of Fragmentation Grenades and Proximity Grenades drastically.


1.01 is a direct download from GDrive, it seems to be newer than 1.0, but still very alpha/WIP.

You have some useful .vbr and .mis files on gdrive (ekologije.mis, TEST.mis). They will give you a good idea how randomisation was implemented, including pecularities such as how to constrain CMs so that they are randomised but cannot appear in hackable crates etc.

very quick notes on the latest wip build (earth, station, medsci1);

-screwed up lighting here and there. recommend 32bit relight via NewDark Shocked (clears the issues up, I've checked).
-explosions look a bit overblown. the smoke effect looks odd.
-blood decal applying buggy, decal can end up hanging in air on a corner.
-could really use some geometry/world texture love (door alcoves especially).
-same goes for obj positions (the dml pack from ss2tool does correct some, and seems to be Alya compatible so far).

also, any special reason why recommending top priority? generally, you want to do the opposite with a gamesys mod - give it the lowest prio and slap the eyecandy at the top.

Hi. I started to play games and i cant find card to the first sectir with enemys. Im stuck on sector with module upgrade units . It looks like card disapheared ? I like mod but if item can spawn in rooms where i cant have access for example - in rooms with need of hack what is the point ? I cant find card since 20 minutes - this card was always near door. Whats the point. I thought i will find items in other objects nearby - this is some crazy thing.

i GIVE UP. I SPEND 1.5 hour for looking card in to medical sector. Yes. Into medical sector - just at game begin and did not find it. No thanks. Too shy there is no way to play this mod without randomiser.

Great and the only mod, where hybrids gives you a real challange.. but this randomizer is annoying.

I'm wondering if that "Abandoned_Alyamod3_Alpha" is the same as the Alyamod 3 I just downloaded from Rainalkar's gdrive and attached to his thread.

seems to be newer, but definitely not something playable, so moved the download here - lets call it alpha1.01 for the moment.

maybe Join_us will know, or maybe even Rainalkar, he seem to still be around.
