I'm starting to think this knob doesn't even own a desktop computer.

I don't trust YouTube reviewers for a second, but I guess there's someone out it who likes it

they are more trustworthy than the regular media, if nothing else.

sometimes something is so stupid that it actually is awesome.

one of the games is Tiny Annelid. wonder whether that is a coincidence.

I want to play Tiny SCUMM games on it - without mouse-support.

The video title is a bit of clickbait. The name of this product is "Thumby", not "GameBoy Atom", and it's not even a Game Boy emulator. It's a custom platform in a case that just happens to look like a Game Boy.

Good luck playing SCUMM games on its 72 x 40 screen.

yeah - but still, creating a working game console so tiny is a feat worth mentioning.

if you are into premium products, the classic gameboy shell, and raspberry pi, now's the time.

Jesus, they literally named it "Case". If you want to protect it, do you buy a Case case?

or you could just go all guns blazing (for about 200$ //that was the backer price, regular price will be higher //slowly going back to 200 //and we are at 200 again);

Definitely not the most cost effective solution, but I'm planning on getting a Steam Deck to use with everything from emulation to AAA gaming.

Not that there are many AAA games to play.

200 bucks for a device that does it all is not bad - actually, this probably is the most interesting part of the deal, the relatively low cost of this handheld will force the price of other top tier devices to go down. basically, from this point on, if you have a handheld that cannot do decent ps2 emulation, and you are planning to sell it for more than 200$, you are going to have a bad time. this will actually affect the mid-range as well - you won't be able to sell something that can't run ps2 at all for 150-190$.

This looks really awesome, I want to get one

it's a shame it's on indiegogo though. It looks pretty complete, and they have a working unit, which is a good sign, but I don't support indiegogo projects on principle because of how scammy they frequently turn out to be

You have to rename the SNES extension to .SMC

Probably doesn't run games out of the box but the Dirtywave M8 is a handheld that I'm lusting after now:
