mod priorities are not too great, there will be some trouble.

yep, it's one of those few cases where the fixup dmls aren't 100% compatible with Secmod. needs a rec1.mis.dml in the Secmod root with
Code: [Select]
ObjProp 79 "Position"
{
"Heading" 8000
}
to fix.

Who would have thought mixing ancient mods and DML patches in the wrong order would mess up your SS2 install?

that is not the case here - basically, Secmod maps are still close enough to vanilla for the tool fixup dmls to mostly fix stuff up (for example, the extra touches to the rec1 transmitter work nicely), but there are exceptions (like the art terminal above). no good way around this, all that can be done is to just fix stuff manually when something pops up (I try to be careful when making the dmls, but in the end, I'm still only human).

or they can be disabled comepletely - TF can do this should he chooses to, by adding a qvar that will make the fixup dmls not load at all (either by editing all maps, or by setting it via yet another dml on the earth map - should work, I think).

Thanks, I'll just add that dml fix to the rec map only, hopefully I don't forget since I think we talked about this before.

if updating, maybe consider some of the suggestions I've posted in the Secmod topic - the less duct tape users need to apply, the better.

aand I get to be the mayor of the I-told-you-so-town.
