most of these translations were made a long time ago, when having even basic image editing skills was a premium, so there's a good chance the person editing the texture was just barely capable of replacing the text without breaking the texture completely.

or they just didn't care, as the originals are only slightly better (see my I don't give a damn about fonts and colors letter A in the Bay A texture here).
